Washing machine woes

Our front-loading Haier washing machine suddenly stopped working one morning. Very promptly we called Haier customer care (on their toll free number) and after the usual process of registering a complaint, were given a ticket number along with the assurance that a trusted technician would come home within 24hrs and fix the machine. It's been almost one month, 3 different ticket numbers, a quick succession of false assurances and a PILE of unwashed clothes, now our local franchise number is invalid (strange, to have happened so abruptly) and none of the HAIER reps are in a position to help us out. We're looking at regular technicians who repair just about every kind of washing machine and do not carry any form of corporate branding.

It makes me realize what formed the cliche related to non-durability of all "Chinese" goods.
