Poor LG service

I had bought an LG refrigerator (model no. - 245TTG4) on 20.07.2008. Now I wanted an AMC. Call centre people (on 18.03.10) told me that 1yr AMC would cost Rs.750/- service tax and if I take for more than 1 yr (2 or 3 years), it would come at a 20% discount (ref no. - R1031834396). When the service engineer visited me on 19.03.10, he informed that no discounts are available. On my trying to recheck with the call center (that no discounts are available), your call center executive told me to talk to the service engineer himself or his ASC head as he himself would not be able to help out and give correct information. This essentially means that the call center is either redundant or its executives are hand in glove with the service center people and charge extra (withdrawing discounts at their own will).

Despite my repeated efforts, I was unable to get to the right source for the desired information. Kindly help me out.
