DEFECT IN NEWLY PURCHASED CP1180 HAND HELD WALKIETALKIE SET

Two days back I purchased 2 MOTOROLA CP1180 UHF handheld radio sets from a dealer in New Delhi. next day on delivery of sets i found them defective as a result they are not working. since then i have been trying to contact the supplier but not getting any reply or any response from them. please advise me, what step should i take regarding this matter.
