Nokia 5233
Loss but not help

I purchsaed a nokia handset (5233 Imei no.354850042068783) on 24.10.2010 from Siliguri. I am married in Kolkata and i lost my cell there. I went to nokia care behala. I requested to block or help trace my phone using the imei number. They told me very Bluntly that if you were a minister we could help. For noramal people this facility is not avaiable. I just want to know that if there is a way why it is not available for the citizens? Furter more thefts can be reported on internet also but the company customer care refuses to help.
