Nokia N97 Mini: Faulty Phone, Arrogant Customer Service

Hi,

Sub: Replacement of Nokia N97Mini Cell Phone

I had purchased a new Nokia N97 Mini on 29/12 in Delhi for around Rs 25000/-.

The details of my Cell phone are as follows:

 Model: Nokia N97Mini

 EIMI no: 356918036130196

 Type: RM-555

 Software Version: v10.0.020

The Problem:

The cell phone keeps getting hanged and it cant be used again unless its switched off and restarted. I have been facing this problem since the week I have purchased this mobile phone.

The Ordeal :

• I called the Nokia Customer Care (30303838) to seek help for my problem and I was guided to a Nokia Care Center.

• I had to skip office to go to a Nokia Care Center where I was advised to go back home and take a data back up and then come again. The name of the Nokia Center is Saksham Services in Mayur Vihar.

• I went back home took a back up and went back to the nokia care center.

• My Cell phone was taken for around half an hour and it was returned saying that the problem is fixed.

• The problem resurfaced later in the evening.

• I have again called the customer care number and I got the response that it required you would have to travel to the Nokia Care Center 100 times to get your phone fixed. Nobody will help you.

• •I have written to Nokia customer care and the suggestion given by them are:

• I should Deposit my handset at Nokia Care

• They will investigate if there is a problem

• They might keep my mobile for ‘n’ number of days for investigation

• And then they would try and fix my mobile.

• Subsequently If its repaired I can collect the substandard set again.

Taken for a Ride:

• I cant be expected to skip office and go to a Nokia Care Center every second day.

• Also after spending 25000/-Rs, I can’t be expected to deposit my phone at a Nokia Care Center and wait for days and weeks so that Nokia can experiment on my mobile.

• What if the phone is repaired now and it again develops a fault after the expiry of the warranty period. Since the handset is substandard product.

I would appreciate if after reading all of the above, Nokia as an organization would look into my problem and give me a solution in terms of a cell phone replacement immediately.

Hopefully my problem would be taken cognizance of because a consumer of a High End Nokia Product, cannot be expected to run around with his/her mobile with in one month of purchase.
