Retailer charging more than MRP

On 04/08 my father bought an Amul Butter 100 gm pack who charged Rs 35/- instead of MRP printed on the pack as Rs.29/-.On being asked the shopkeeper said that they are buying at Rs.34/-.I can't understand the logic behind this overchraging.
