Laptop's Lan Chip got burnt due to beam cable

Hi,

My name is Rama Narayana Reddy, iam a resident of Yellareddyguda, Hyderabad. Two days ago my laptop's LAN chip got burned and nearly it costed me around 15000 Rs. I got my laptop diagnised in service center and they informed me that this happened because of power surge thorough internet cable wire. I have contacted the people of Beam tele where in they replied that it is quite common and told me that they can't help. So beware of this connection as i have learnt that many customers suffered with this issue. If they see this and respond to my issue then i will be grateful to them.
