Hacked mail

My hotmail email ID, mmukesh_26@hotmail.com was hacked on 4th Sept.2009. The hacker is asking for 1700 pounds from all those who were in my contact list. I am unable to use my hotmail as the hacker has changed the password. Now I want to block this mail ID immediately so that one one can misuse my mail ID in future. Please suggest or do the needful to block this mail ID immediately.
