Exchange value difference

We had bought 2 T-Shirts from the company's Dwarka outlet for a price of 1498/-, out of which one T-shirt of value Rs.799/- was found to have a faded look when checked in daylight and hence we went back to the shop within a week and exchanged the T-shirt with another for a price of Rs.699/-. However, the shop refused to refund the value of Rs. 100/- that was the difference in price between the two T-shirts and asked us to purchase an item to cover the difference or forfeit the difference.

There was no item worth Rs.100/- and to recover the difference, we would have had to purchase an additional item of a significantly higher value. We opted to forfeit the difference.

This is not a customer friendly trade practice and should be discouraged.

The name of the shop is Lee Dwarka, Sector - 4, Pankaj Plaza, Dwarka. The original bill no. is S7/5081 and the replacement bill no. is S7/5120. The items were not discounted however the bills carried the legend 'No Return, No Exchange'.
