Misbehaviour and high prices charged by autorickshaw drivers

I was travelling in auto No: TN-05 2844 along with my friend on 13th Nov.

We hired the auto from kandanchavadi to thiruvanmiyur thiyagaraja theater at around 9:50pm as we were getting late from office. the auto driver initially charged for Rs.100 then some how he agreed for Rs 50.

By the time he reached thiruvanmiyur signal he said he will drop us near the signal, as he has to take a U-turn to thiyagaraja theatre and so we said we hired the auto till thiyagaraja theatre and he can't drop us in the mid way. But he refused to agree and started shouting and abusing at us and started demanding for Rs:70 to drop us near the destination.

We could nothing but just note his Vehicle number. We couldn't argue much as we were getting late.

First of all they charge us double the amount and they misbehave with us.

Is there any Officials who can take some action against these people.

This is just one incident. Earlier few months back we hired an auto to IGP bustop in OMR . The auto fellow dropped us at SRP tools and said it is IGP bustop and started using bad words. But at that time I couldn't make a note of his Vehicle number.

This time the only thing that I could do was making note of his Vehicle number

Unless and until some severe measures are taken these kind of behavior can't be controlled.

Please do take some action against them. I'm really not sure whether my complaint would be yet another mail in the complaint cell or it does make sense. Just writing to raise my problem to your notice for help.
