Drivers demanding excessive fare

I got down at Anandarao circle in Bangalore and wanted to take a rickshaw to Sahakaranagar. Driver R. Ramu (Badge # 7017, Auto # KA-04 B9950), demanded fare of Rs. 200 and refused to use the meter saying that his meter is not working. The normal fare is around Rs. 100. 10 - 15 other drivers were supporting Mr. Ramu and said that none of them are ready to take me to Sahakaranagar for a price less than Rs. 150. This is very irritating and unfair to the consumer - I am hoping that by reporting this incident, some action will be taken.
