Auto Rickshaw
Refusing to take passengers or charging high

I am a daily passenger travelling from Vikhroli Station West to Powai Hiranandani (Kensington). There are no BEST services in this area due to which people need to take either Auto rickshaw or Taxi. Till end of Feb there were some Tata Sumo cabs who use to take people from Vikhroli station west till Hiranandani for 15 Rs/- per person (as Rickshaws used to refuse to take passengers and even if they took they either tamper their meter or argue that they would take only one or two passenger but not three at a time).

By end of Feb Rackshaw's succedeed to complaint to police that Cabs are running Illegally and this should stop. Thus, Tata Sumo Cab services are stopped in this area. Now even Rickshaw's refuse to take passengers or take more charges. On travelling by meter It cost only 33Rs/- to 39Rs/- for Vikhroli West to hiranandani but they charge 20Rs/- or 18Rs/- per person (which almost accounts to double the rate). Aren't the auto Rickshaw drivers earning illegally? More over since its slope area in which they travel, Rickshaw's take more time to travel than cabs.

Its the common man who is suffering due to the attitude shown by Rickshaw drivers. They themselves dont take us in a nominal legal rate and wont let other also to take us. This is my sincere request that we require a traffic police near vikhroli station West in the morning hours.

Also, I am launching this complaint almost daily in trafficpolicemumbai site. I dont know if any action was taken or not. This site whould provide a feedback to the common man to know if any action is being taken or not.

Team by concluding this letter I am expecting a BEST service for this area and also a traffic police in this area to monitor the activities of Rickshaw Drivers for the safe ferry of passengers.
