Over charging by Auto Rikshaw

Sir,

I took an auto rikshaw No. MH-03 AK-1570 from BARC Anushakti Nagar, chembur at 6.15 PM on 8th May 09 to go to my residence at Lokhandwala Township, Kandivli East and reached at 7.45 PM. The route taken was BARC-Sion Station-Dharavi-Bandra East-western Express Highway-Kandivli east. On reaching the Auto meter showed 30.90. This was obviously too high hence I argued with the Auto driver and tried to convince him but he in turn used abusive language and made scene in front of my colony and finally I had to pay Rs. 308.00. Normal tarrif in this route is Rs. 165 to Rs. 175 as I have been travelling in this route for the past three days.

The Auto driver has over charged me and I am sure the meter is tampered to show more.

I request that a stern action be taken against this auto driver immediately so that he does not cheat customers any more.
