Refund of Policy amount

We have submitted all documents that were verified in Pune after my mothers death related to her Aviva Life Insurance Policy. The company had said they will settle the amount in 7 working days. We had handed the documents on 27th Dec'08. We have been calling repetitively in Pune and Delhi. Now they have a new thing come up that since my mothers policy had an indexation update and the amounts were taken past 3 years for the same their system has not got the update to the same. Due to this there is a departmental blame game going on.

Please advice how do we get this act in place.
