No intimation of ECS bounce

I purchased two wheeler from bajaj auto through there finance division Bajaj auto finance limited. my ECS was going very fine from last one year. but last month i didn't get any notice about the bounce of ECS and the case was transffered to Recovery cell without any information, and that too in just one month bounce. and now the recovery agent is saying that u will be charged Rs40 per day from the date of bounce of ECS till the date of depositing the installement. what should i go for now, should i deposit the sum as told by the agent???

please help me
