VODAPHONE - HEIGHT OF IRRESPONSIBLITY

Dear Sir,

Hi… I am Amit Arora, R/o 1/3122 Ram Nagar, Loni Road, Shahdara.

I am using Vodaphone Post paid connection 9811622532 (primary connection).

I had one add-on connection on this no vide mobile no- 9899272532 (secondary connection). My handset for no 9899272532 was lost in a theft on dated 02/07/08. I requested vodaphone to terminate this connection vide request no- 1102191168 on dated 02/07/08 at 19:00 hrs. Vodaphone assured me to take necessary measures.

I assume that if a phone is stolen and the operating company is intimated about that, the phone number should be de-activated immediately as the number can be used for any malicious activity.

But it seems that Vodaphone is not a responsible company as the phone was activated till 14/07/08.

I got to know about this activation in first week of august when I received bill against this phone no vide bill no- 0063825097. When I saw this bill, I immediately contented vodaphone and enquired them about the issue. I was told that due to technical problem the de-activation was delayed.

Now I have my questions to above all issue:

1. Who is responsible for above all??? Me or Vodaphone???

2. What about the misuse happened during that period??

3. What, If this number was used for any terrorist activity during this period???

4. Why should I be penalized (pay) for a cause where I am not guilty???

Above all, Vodaphone has stopped services for my primary no- 9811622532. Is it ethical???

Now I request vodaphone to kindly activate my primary no- 9811622532 and revert back all the charges against my secondary no- 9899272532.

If it is not done in time frame of next 24 hrs, I shall have no option, else to take up the matter with honorable consumer forum.
