BARCLAY BANK Cheated Me

One of the representative of BARCLAY Bank has visited my office on 12 July, 08 and asked me to open an saving bank account with zero balance facility in Worli, Mumbai branch. At that time, I was told there will be no charge for account opening. I have asked for the documents and a cheque of Rs.2000.00. I have given my documents and cheque of Rs. 2000.00 to him.

After that the account was opened in Worli, Mumbai branch and the number is 000002344152. But they have deducted Rs. 842.7 as account opening charge.

I gave a complaint to the BARCLAY Bank immediately. But till now they never get back to me. On calling to the branch they told me that I have signed an MID. Asking for the MID, they did not respond.

I WANT JUSTICE IMMEDIATELY.

How can a bank deduct a charges without intimanting the customer prior to account opening.

If there is a charge then it was supposed to intimanted to me while taking the document.

Please let me know what can an customer do if a private bank like Barclay cheated customer.

Is there any forum that can help on this matter.
