Undue amount charged on credit Card account

Hi All,

I wanted to bring in notice a case of consumer dissatisfaction by Barclay Credit card company. I have opted this card last year. I have used the card for the first month and payed through Cheque. The cheque reached the company before time but for some reasons the cheque got bounced (just wanted to make note the money was available in the account at that time). Due to this my bank has charged me 500/- INR.

The due date was 28th August. Once I have been notified on 30th August regarding the amount delay due to this I had made the payment on the same date by online facility (which I was not aware of before hand).

It is close to one year since then and I had done number of mails and phone calls to get the extra charge due reversal but it gets add up each month.

Customer care assure me to take up the case but post that next month amount is levied again

Also I would like to bring in notice that Barclay Card services has hired third party to handle recovery of money. These people are authorized to collect money but when you try to argue them they will tell you that they are not authorized to take up any action.

I have stopped using the card from next month due to this issue and now it is blocked. In the past 8-9 months I have received SMS, Automated Calls and reminders by third party. I am tired of explaining each of them my case.

Now they are demanding around 650/- bucks for settlement of all teh due (which they claim to be around 5k).

Can any Barclay card authorized Offical take a look at my plea.

Hi,

I want to put up my case for requesting reversal of late fee charges.

I have paid the due amount (Rs 1884) via Cheque in August before due date of payment of 28 Aug. But as the Cheque got bounced (for no obvious reasons) money was not transferred in due date. Once I have been informed I have made the payment on same day via online payment facility (i.e. 30 Aug). Cheque bounce accounts for making the late payment of two days.

I want to use the credit card but due to late charges levid I am not able to use it.

Please consider the case and revert the late payment charges so that I can use it for making transactions.
