To
The management,
Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium,
Bangalore – 560 001.
Respected sirs and madams,
Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium is a well known establishment which is entertaining the children through its scientific expositions and games and toys, etc. This institution is enlightening, educating and throwing light on layman or common man about science.
The lectures given in this institution is very useful and gives light about many hidden and unknown facts.
But unfortunately your institution is in a isolated area where there is very less access for city transport buses, autorickshaws. Autorickshaw people are refusing to come to places of our destinations at night times.
For example, autorickshaws are asking rupees 30- to rupees 40- to come to shivajinagar bus stand though the meter shows less than rupees 20- (I do not remember the identities of such autorickshaw people)
To come to Jayanagar telephone exchange 5th block, a auto driver demanded rupees 100- (rupees one hundred only) though the actual meter runs and shows rupees 65- (rupees sixty five only). If in a rainy day, if it rains specially at night times auto people will not stop at all to pickup passengers though autorickshaw is empty when we show our *stop* hands and shout.
To Nehru planetarium due to a special attraction of the planetarium many many people specially women and children will be coming regularly to spend time usefully. These people often suffer a lot and lot due to night rains and harassment by auto drivers and non-accessibility of city transport buses.
Hence I request the kind authorities of Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium to conduct any classes or lectures on faculties in the afternoon only and finish the same before early evening. So that people will be having a confidence to manage themselves to travel back to their homes as it will not be dark.
Otherwise a city transport bus facility may be made to all the important places of Bangalore including extensions and outskirts of the city from Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium, with reasonable bus fares.
If my request is entertained I will be ever grateful to the planetarium management and authorities.
Thanking you, with warmful regards,
Yours truly, vidyadhar, member of the Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium club.
