Selling of Defective Shoes

Dear sir,

I, Jitendra Singh, serving in Indian Navy, is hereby submitting that I had purchased a power shoes on 21 Aug 08 costing Rs. 899/- at Bata India Ltd, 31 Sarojini Nagar (SN) Mktvide Cash Memo no. 21-08-08/1/0145 030/22. After one weak use, I found shoes was cracked on top protion. On 28 Sep I informed to 31, SN Mrk for the defect and was told to collect the same on 03 Oct 08. When I reached at Bata shoe shop I have been told that take a any shoe in lieu and pay 50% of the new shoes. I really shocked. Sir, I have the faith with Bata company and continiously using Bata shoe since last 25 yrs. Sir, I regret to inform you that I used the said shoe for one weak and found a small tear on top portion was sighted. Being a Defence Personnel to work day - night and due to service exigencies I could not get the time to go to shop within the stipulated time. Now, I, pray to Bata India Ltd to consider my case sympathically as a special case to change said shoe in liew without any charges.
