Misappropriation of Funds

Dear Sir,

I wish to report a misappropriation in my wife’s Bank account with ICICI Bank bearing A/C# 004701535973.

Since Sep’09 there have been deductions of Rs/- 3000 on a monthly basis towards a Birla Sun Life Mutual fund, we do not have any business interests with Birla Sun Life and are not aware of the transaction.

Upon investigation, we understand that all payments for Folio# 1014627010 for Mr Raja Sahney are being debited from my wife, Pavithra. V’s account. I have shared these details with the Mutual Fund.

We made a formal complaint on 30-Mar, and followed up several times. We have not heard back from them till date. The amount incorrectly debited (with interest) and the penalty imposed should be credited back to the account with interest.

In spite of the complaints Rs/-3000 was deducted on 11-Apr. Ironically, there is no ECS set up with the bank for us to stop payment.
