BPCL LPG for domestic
Ration card not required for LPG refill

Tamilnad Govt has announced that producing of Ration Cards in person is not required for refill of LPG for domestic consumers.

"Ration Cards should not be insisted upon by LPG distributors in future" - Tamilnadu Government's commissioner for Civil Supplies stated on Sep 12 vide The Hindu dated on Sep 13 published from Chennai in the first page itself.

Still, the dealers of BPCL in Chennai insisted on ration cards for refilling and denying the supply for bookings.

Except in Tamilnadu, nowhere, Ration cards are insisted for refilling in India.

Will BPCL authorities take action and instruct to their dealers on this to follow the Govt rule?
