Ghaziabad passport delay due to LIU

Sir,
The police inquiry came to our house on 5th Jan and said after verifying that we will get it in 20 days. Yesterday on 16th-Jan I took online status and it showed police inquiry report not received. We went to police station where S.I. came from and deposited a photo where he checked status and said it has gone to LIU, Ghaziabad on 8-Jan-08. We can request in LIU to hurry it. I have to leave for UK in 1 month and feeling dejected due to slow process.
