Cable TV Operator
Putting cable offline in Rainy Season

I am residing in Metropoliton Co-operative Housing Society, Kolkata -700105. "Satelite Cabel TV" is only cable operator here. They keep the cable shut whenever there is slight rain/thunderstorm chance. As a result, whole rainy season cable remains off. Is it really technically needed? I inquired other places, for other cable operators - no one behaves like this. Is there any remedy?
