Visa fees paying

I had passed the online interview by caltex oil company. now i got a soft copy of the offer letter also. my point is en they can provide me such a good facilities and air tickets fee, then why are they demanding 980USD to be paid for visa processing? i would like to know whether this company is a frod? should i make the payments? if i make what is the guarantee that they send me visa? what is the action to be taken? please let me know asap.
