Problem with drivers, doesnt start only the light turns on but nothing comes on the sercen

Just brought a compaq Presairo C738TU a month ago and on the same day when i tried to open it, turn on but only the button turn on n nothing came on the srcen, so i call up the person i brought she told me that remove the battery and put it back, i did that n it started. then when i took internet connection some virus inflected my computer and was not opening, so i took to the service center n they saiidthat you will be charged for formatting the lab top.i tild them only remove the virus and give me . after 2 days my lab top was not ready to restart so i went back and told them that u will be charged to put the sotware, i told them why dont ur;ll give sotfware, they said they cannot give it to me but we shall put it and u will be charged for that.

i called up the HP helpline and they said that u hVE TO DOwnload all the software from the internet, i did wht they said but then the software link open but it says you hve to buy the software.

now could u help me out with it
