AUTORISHAW CHARGES

Sir,

I am Arun Manavalan D. I am a Design Engineer working in a ship design consulting company. I would to ask you a question regarding the autorishaw charges.

Why government is not taking any action against autorishaw drivers for not running their meters. They charge the amount as they feel like. If a tourist is coming to chennai, they trick these people like anything. I had faced the same situation long back.

I see not a single autorishaw in Chennai or rather I should say in Tamil Nadu using meter charges. Now as the price or diesel/petrol, they have almost doubled their charges especially share auto from Thiruvanmiyur to Kottivakkam. Similar is the case in many other routes.

I plead you take severe and necessary action as it is a very serious problem faced by the middle class people as they have to pay 3-4 times the meter charges (if they have used the meter). I urge the government to bring laws to put an end to this problem.

If this is not the mail id to sent these grievances, please guide me to the respective persons.
