Citibank Credit Card
Excess charge of interest

Whether any bank in the world charges interest of Rs563/-(service tax of Rs81/-) on last bill balance payable of Rs 140/-. It happend with Citibank only. Last bill balance was Rs 21140/-, due on 18.4.2008. I paid Rs 21, 000/- on 15.4.2008 on 15.4.2008 i.e. well before the due date. Surprisingly in the next month bill due on 18.5. I have been charged interest of Rs 563/- (service tax Rs 81/-) for balance due of last month's balance of Rs 140/-. I registered my complaint Ref No 1808050768 on 11.5.2008 with Ms Jaswinder. But her boss Ms Deepika could not talk to me (busy...) even I holded more than 30 mts in my landline telephone. Customer arrogant representative do not have convincing reply, but arrogantly replied that I have to pay what the demand letter is mentioned. She has threatened that if not paid, interest will be charged again on the paid amount, which is happening only in India by Citibank. What is the remedy and how to get away from the arrogant citibankers and their arrogant customer (care) representatives???
