Compaq 610 laptop
Defective piece and non delivery of gift items

I) I purchased one laptop of compaq model number 610 from HOME TOWN, RAJARHAT, KOLKATA, west bengal-700156 (E-MAIL feedback@home-solutions.co.in) on 15th oct. on that day due to festival season i was to receive two gift (one was 1 gm gold coin and another was steel crockery set). after purchase i was told that the gifts will be delivered shortly within a week but till date i have not received anything. when contacted with the concern persons the departmental manager mr abhik roy chowdhury showed his inability due to non availability from the concern department. i also complaint it to HOME TOWN vide complaint number 39994 dated 23 oct 09 but inspite of repeated calls from my side they have not given the gifts. Not only this whenever i spoke to them i was told that they will be calling me back but not once they have called me back. I found myself cheated in this case by the false promise of the gift and the pathetic attitude of the ezone and home town shopping mall staff.

ii) When i purchased the laptop it was sealed and i ask the sales manager to check it but because of festival rush they told me that its a company product and you will not get any problem. however when i checked it was not showing the battery indicator properly. i took the laptop to hometown shopping mall where even though they could not give convincing reply however returned it saying it is programed by company like that. on 30 i tried a CD in the laptop but it did not opened. the same cd was opened in another laptop. i took the laptop to service centre of HP in kolkata where they had kept it for repair. Here i again felt cheated that i have received a defective piece for the price of new one. I had asked for the change of the entire piece but not action is being take. Please help me...
