OS NEED TO BE RE-INSTALL

I have bought 1 year before Branded Desktop computer Compaq Presario for 38 Thousands, after one year due to hardisk corruption i need to format c drive and re-install windows XP i dont have cd i tried with some other cd's but asking for activation after one month, what to do. do i need to buy windows xp again or i will get the activation done free of cost with microsoft.
