I have purchased compaq presario C795TU laptop model on 17-Jan. From day one, i was getting blank screen as at the startup. I need to press power button 2-3 times to get the Compaq logo. But it was irregular. Sometime it was used to start without any problem. This went for few days. Then i contacted the HP customer care 02-feb regarding this. They have issued me a case id and also suggested me a step to correct the problem. But i was sure there is some hardware issue. Their solution didn't worked out and told me to contact nearest HP service center with the case id provided.

It was very difficult for me to find time in weekdays and contact HP service center for this issue. Hence i contacted HP service center on 07-feb. They kept my laptop for further investigation. After the investigation, they communicated me that the System board is gone and need to be replaced and finally i received the laptop from HP service center on 14-Feb.

Now most of the people may have noticed that service center people put telescope to find any scratch and damage. They will show you here and there damages are. But while returning the system, it will not be in the same condition as submitted. Same thing is happened to me. There was a paint thickness on the laptop battery cover, and this i have seen while purchasing. The retailer told me that this is paint thick and it was looks the same and i was convinced. But HP service center told me that this is a scratch since they were not able to find any one. It was a brand new laptop used not more than 10 days.

But when i got the laptop from service center it was completely dirty. Service guy told me that he can't clean now as there are many customer are in Queue. Afterall customer's are at the receiving end.

Now, when i asked the service center guy for the replacement of the system (since it is a new and not older than month0, he said that i should have contacted directly HP service center within 14 days then only the replacement of the system is possible. But my point was i have contacted the customer care and lodged a case on 15th day. (not working days). When it comes to customer Sundays are counted. But when it comes to HP service center Sunday is not counted. What a logic?

Now in the evening i found that the key are comeup. (especially Esc). Now i think my whole PC is scrap and i think manufacurily faulter PC has been sold to me.

Is there any way, i can claim for the new system? Please suggest me.
