Battery and dvd writer problem

My compaq v3000 is facing a problem that my battery backup is only 10-15 minutes only nt only that my dvd writer is working only at certain times, i got replaced 1 of my dvd writer from service center, even though 2nd tym it malfunctioned, but im gng warn them im going court case on them
