Credibility

Respected Sir/Madam

recently I had applied for an credit card. The same has been rejected on credibility grounds. I am shocked and surprised to know this. I never had defaulted in any of financial instruments then why so.

When I enquired I came to know that :

In year 2002 Standard Chartered Bank had imposed a loan of Rs 1 lakh on me. As I did not want the loan I informed bank that they had forcibly deposied the loan in my bank and claiming monthly installments. After studying the entire case Standard Chartered accepted their mistake and closed the case after I had returned all their money back. They have even issued a letter to me. I have all their correspondence with me.

Now after 5 years i have learnt that they not closed my case and it is being shown default.

What should I do to envisate my credibility.
