HP web redemption offer- ref no for claim A 172, redemption code 58010GZUF9

We got a new HP desktop from Pace computers, Baroda. They told us that we can get a printer by paying 1000Rs only within 3 months of the date of purchase of the desktop. As we wanted the printer badly, we decided to go ahead and buy the desktop a little earlier than our requirement..

We made a DD for 999 Rs towards the printer and despatched to HP as told to us by PACE computers baroda.

To our surprise we received a communication from destop redemption centre, dated nil (!), stating that the they cannot accept the claim of the printer as it was received beyond the timelines specified for acceptance and we came to know only then that we have to make the payment within one month and not 3 months within date of purchase. They gave the reference no for claim as A172., and redemption code no. as 58010GZUF9

We have been a diehard customer of HP and are shocked with this behaviour from HP - rejecting the word given to a customer on technical grounds.

Recently for our Chennai office we got 5 desktops from HP.

We are very disappointed with this approach from HP to a longstanding customer of HP. Depending on the reply to this complaint, we are thinking of taking our next step towards purchase of HP products in future.
