Consignment received in tampered state. courier agency denies responsibility

A consignment, containing five packets of dry food items, was booked at Lake View Branch, Kolkata on 20 Mar and was addresed to Bangalore. On taking delivery, only three packets were found and that too, in open condition with food packets, generally half empty and a few missing. We should have received a total of 5 packets as was also mentioned on the slip containing item description. However on opening the package we found only three. The matter was reported to the sending office (in Calcutta) who blatantly stated that the food items were consumed by the security staff at the air port. This is a case of gross indifference on the part of a courier agency.

Further complaints were ladged with the so called "customer care" segment of the courier agency and compensation was demanded but to no effect. The courier agency hasn;t botehred to respond.
