No Services Provided: Refund of Money Paid

Sir/Madam,

I had enrolled with Edwise, Sector-9, Chandigarh for consultation in application process for applying to six US universities, courier charges, visa related consultations among other services promised to me. I had paid Rs 14, 000/- at Edwise Chandigarh vide their receipt no 3608 dated 16th Sep. However, in reality I never availed of any service till date. I am a very busy bank officer and because Edwise office at Chandigarh is located close to my office, I had thought that for consultations etc, I will visit them during my lunch timings and I had also made this fact known to the concerned staff working there before making payment and enrolling myself. But later on I found that their lunch hours and office closing hours are the same as mine. And whenever I tried to contact them over phone to fix another time for visit, I was declined everytime. Even my phone calls and queries through emails were not responded to. Therefore, I had to prepare and submit the applications myself, none of my essays were seen/edited by their staff. Even one day when I telephoned Edwise office to get my marksheets scanned and sent to one of the university, I was told that the machine was out of order. I had to get that work done myself from some other place which delayed submission of application because it was the last day for Round II and due to this my application was submitted in Round III. After receiving money from me they become totally unconcerned with my work which delayed the submission of applications and drastically brought down my chances of admission apart from causing delay and mental tension. I did not even use their courier services for sending hard copies of the supplementary documents for which Rs 2, 000/- were specifically charged to me. After I became sure that they are not going to provide me the promised services and sensed their delaying tactics I prepared everything myself and requested them through phone calls and emails to refund the money paid by me but till date I have not received any positive response from them. This shows how they are looting the hard earned money of students who want to go abroad for further studies.

Keeping in view that I have not received any promised service from Edwise against the payment made, I request you to help me get refund of the money at the earliest possible date.

I hope my genuine grievance will be looked into and matter will be resolved soon.
