Foul taste of "pure" water

Hi,
I bought a Eureka Forbes water purifier (AQUASURE - CRYSTAL) from DASS store at Aundh. I got the delivery immediately and then after a couple of follow ups, the EUREKA FORBES person came to install the purifier. He did the installation and asked me to keep water running from the unit for 15 minutes. I did that. After that the water which comes out of the unit has a foul taste; so I logged a complaint with the call center and the technician came in. He said he has to flush the system and did something; and then said let water be running from the unit for sometime. I did it again and kept water running from the instrument for 15 minutes. Still I get the same foul taste (it tastes like plastic) from the water. Now he asked me to call him in case of a problem. I am not sure how many times would I have to call someone even after paying the purchase amount in entirity and having a 1 year warranty on the instument? Also the person who installed the water purifier was too smart and has sold me a company made cover for Rs. 180 without giving any receipt and a water pipe for Rs. 40, again without a company receipt. I need some help here. Thanks.
