Delay in passport

Respected Sir

I, Md. Tauseef Khan S/O- Abdul Mannan, date of birth is 03-05-84, permanent resident of Manpur Khiarah Chapra Bihar. I have applied for my passport from Gaziabad passport office on 27-06 with File No-Z160442, but still I have not recieve my passport after so long time. How many times I apporaced to Gaziabad office, it is countless (more than 10 times), but useless. I just waisted my precious time and money in travel.

I have applied for the passport when I was pursuing my Engineering from AMU, Aligarh, so I have applied from the regional passport office Gaziabad. But today I thought that I make a blunder to apply my passport from Gaziabad. Those who applied from our hometown, already got their passport within 2-3 months. I applied the passport when I was in 2nd year of my 4 year Degree programm, as to have my passport before leaving the college. I wanted to take GRE and Toffel fo higher studies in abroad which require passport for immigration, but still my dream cann't be fullfil.

I think, delay in my passport is due to my following silly mistakes,

first, I applied from Gaziabad,

second, I mentioned two adressess, one for permanent and other for correspndance.

Every enquiry for issuing the passport has been completed so far, but the passport authority of Gaziabad still says that " your home enquiry report is still to come".

My home enquir was completed when I was at home for vacation in 2006. I approaches to the enquiry authority in my home town Chapra, they said they already sent my report to the passport office.

I don't undersatand, where is the fault. If Gaziabad passport authority has not got the enquiry report, is it my fault? I was thinking to approach for RTI.

Please help me to get my passport as soon as possible.
