Delay in delivery/non delivery of consignement

I ordered a DD with ICICI Bank on 03-June, they shipped the DD on 04-Jun. Till today (10-Jun) the consignment/letter with DD did not reach me. When contacted they reasons like the delivery was attempted but consignee not present (where as no one has made any attempt).

I believe an ordinary post would have much earlier than from this courier service. Please take necessary action so that other consumers do not get bothered about such sloppy service.
