Auto rikshaw drivers / flag bearers of split India

Dear All,

I am writing this complaint regarding behaviour of Auto rikshaw drivers of Bangalore. In day time also they charge 1.5 meter rate. Some time they make fun of you and would not cooperate in anyway. They are rude and insane. Some times I feel like foriegner in my own country. the way things are happening I would not be surprized if one fine day we would be asked for passport to visit neighbouring state. We talk about indians are been assaulted / targeted in Australia, but what about their own home country (India). Here in India we are united as a nation only in Indian Pledge, Nation anthem, school books and movies. Every day we face discrimination based on our skin colour, economic state, gender, migrant (within country) and its a never ending list. Behaviour of autorikshaw drivers keep reminding that this is not the land I was born on, but on the other hand an unknown person (Driver of some private vehical) stood next to me at Commercial street traffic signal (around 10 PM) and help me board a bus to my destination (Since most of the buses have kannada titles). This thing makes me feel that because of few (mindless, I am trying my level best to be sober, trust me) autorikhshaw drivers I would not let my spirit die. I'll keep helping people (if they ask for) no matter what it takes and also I will try my level best to use public transport (buses only) for internal commute but no to auto rikshaw
