Harrassment- Leakage of financial data

Hi,

I have been using the GE Money Cash Card for over 17 months and have been regular in its payments. I am a small business owner and have been affected by the financial slowdown in the recent few months. Due to which I was unable to make payment of the minimum due for the past 2 months i.e. Jan and Feb. I received numerous calls (Ranging upto 10 per day) as reminders. I explained to them my constraints and asked them to collect a lump sum payment in March 1st Week. I was willing to pay the late fee and interest charges on the same.

Despite informing the center numerous times I was continuously harassed with calls starting from 8:00 am in the morning. I obliged by answering and explaining my constraints. The calls did not stop. I was unable to answer most of the calls considering my busy schedule. After which I was called on my Official Number, which is a business line. I requested and warned them to not make calls on my official number. However they continued to do so. My office received a call on the afternoon of 16th Feb '09 when I was out on a meeting with some clients. The agent leaked information about the credit card outstanding to my subordinates. This information has traveled across and is extremely disturbing for me. I feel mentally harassed by the bank doings. I have spoken with their Head Office about this matter and wanted to cancel the card.

The Head office personnel has denied cancellation and only has an apology to offer. I am not happy with the apology and feel cheated. I look forward for the consumer forum to assist me and do justice to my case. Please help me.
