Unable to redeem gift vouche

I have a voucher from Gitanjali Group which has a validity till February 15, however, when I went to redeem the same at Shopper's Stop where Gitanjali group has a counter, the salesman at the counter mentioned that he would need to check with his organization. He spoke to Parveen who is the ASM who mentioned that she would get back to me after verifying the details with the company. They have not yet contacted me. Subsequent to this, I contacted Asmi Jewellery India Pvt Ltd., Plot No. 18, Road No.9, MIDC, Andheri (East), Mumbai-400 093 on tel number 022 4010 2200 but the person attending the phone would just ask for my name and disconnect the line. If they cannot redeem vouchers, I don't understand why they issue them.
