I am a doctor and find that the advt appearing on TV sony max during cricket matches and other channels on a Glucon D Heines foods is totally wrong. It claims that children who feel tired after play in the sun loose glucose which needs to be refurbished!! They show child taking lots of ''glucose'' GLUCON D (WITH ELECTROLYTES?? ARE THEY ENOUGH?) in heaps in a glass 200 ml water and start playing again ..this is not true to science of fluid balance of our body.

This is against our national dehydration ORS liquid program!

All of us know that

Glucose is high osmolarity drink which if taken in heaps in water can cuase more osmotic diuresis more URINE formation and MORE WATER AND ELECTROLYTES loss WORSENING THE ALREADY DEHYDRATED CHILD OR AN ATHLETE!!

WE HAVE TO TAKE FLUIDS EQUAL TO OUR SWEAT COMPOSITION... ATLEAST ORAL REHYDRATION SOLUTION ors SATCHETS MAKES A FLUID ==WITH 5 GMS SALT AND 25 GMS SUGAR IN A LITRE OF WATER!! WITH TOMATOES OR BANANAS FOR POTASSIUM AND OTHER CALORIE LOSSES FOR A TENNIS CRICKET PLAYER!!

KINDLY DO THE NEEDFUL IF YOU ALL CARE FOR DEHYDRATING CHILDREN OF OUR COUNTRY AND ALL THE ATHLETES ESP in summer season with so much of heat all over.
