Deduction of amount from advance given for renting an house

Dear Sir,

We had rented a house in may for 11 months period and we had rented the house for Rs.10, 000 and paid an advance of Rs. 1, 00, 000. We had vacated the house according to the agreement after 11 months. And we have no pending rent to the owner. But when he gave back the advance he had deducted Rs. 2, 000 for painting the house. which should be beared and done by him.

this is a complaint againt the house owner.
