New Connections

I am residing in Hyderabad and the gas agencies are not entertaining any application for new gas connection whether it be Indane agency or HP agency. They say that we have been asked to stop issuing new connection.

But the same is easily avilable in the black market.

I wonder whether RTI can be used to check the malpractices of these agencies knowing that they are very close to politicians. Few months back only I know of the agency who gave the new connections instantly on payment of 3500 Rs. But I was fool not to shell 3500 RS in black at that time and now they are asking for 4500 RS.
