Non delivery of free gift

I purchased HP Pavillion laptop on 11th May. I was offered HP Wi-Music Device TV Tuner card by the company. The redemption code given to me by the company was QHHB72E42N. As directed, I sent DD of Rs 500 for handling and processing charges for the same. But, I have not received anything so far. So, please tell me why this undue delaying is taking place. Or should I forget all about the free gift as a victim of some kind of scam arranged by this 'Reputed' company.
