Levying annual charges for HSBC credit card in spite of life time free card promise during card issue

I am a software professional working at Hyderabad. In the year 2006 I was harassed and forced to take the HSBC credit card bearing number 4384 5999 1578 2774. While issuing card the marketing executives of HSBC credit card division made promises that it is life time free credit card and no annual fees will levied.

I've been hardly using the card and made the payments in right time for the purchases done using the card.

Now in the year 2009 they started harassing me by levying annual fees for my card, late fees on that annual fees and all other charges. When i called up the customer care no one answered properly and I did not get solution.

I've put a mail to the HSBC information center mentioning my problem, i got a reply from them saying that at any cost i should pay the amount or else they will again levy the late fees and that will go on and on.

Please help me and protect me from this harassment.
