Card not received but cr card statement received. May be missued by some one

I have been apporached by HSBC Credit Card Agent for a new card and I filled the form in May 08. I have received SMS through my cell phone that my HSBC Credit Card has been despatched on 26/05/08, but to my surprise I had not received the card till date. Though i have lodged my complaint through their land line phone, the receiving operator was so casual in receiving the message and informed me that I need not worry about the card and it will not be handed over to any unauthorised person. To my suprise, on 2nd Aug 08 I have received a credit card statement for the card I have not received so far. According to the statement that I have received, my credit card no. is 4384599988530738 and my account no. is242-878668-606 statement showing a credit of Rs.100 to the above. I was unsuccessful to contact HSBC over phone. Hence this complaint. Repeat I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY CREDIT CARD BUT THE STATEMENT. STOP MISSUE OF CREDIT CARD BY SOME ONE. HSBC ACT NOW.
