I have a HTC P5500 for which the warranty period expired on the 10th of Jan. Soon after that there was a problem in the touch screen pannel of the phone and i gave for a check to a HTC certified service center in Noida called GNH Telecom. They kept my phone for 3 weeks and replaced the touch display pannel and charged Rs 3000 for the part. The set worked fine for a week and then the same issue occured again. On going back to GNH telecome i was told that they no longer are a part of HTC so they cant check the set anymore and adviced me to take the phone to the head office in Okhla Phase 2 called Salora International. I got the set checked there was told that the display pannel needs to be replaced again as there is no warranty on the parts of the phone that are replaced, so thats another Rs 3000/- and also there was an issue with the network connectivity of the phone for which i was told that who ever repaired it the last time (GNH Telecom) has done something called REFLOW activity which has damaged the liquid in the phone and this cannot be repaired again. Now i am left with a Handset for which i paid 24000 rupees which can now only be used as a paper weight. If there is anything that consumer forum can do about this, it'll be greatly appriciated.
