Non delivery of Hindustan Times

I, Smt. Mayadath V.P. residing at 36, Gandaki, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai would like to bring to your kind notice that I have given a cheque of Rs.195/- drawn on SBI, BARC Branch, Cheque No.193399 to the vendor Shri Chandran on 6th December was debited by SBI on 12/04. The amount of Rs. 195/- was paid to him under the understanding that he will deliver the papers for two years. Shri Chandran has abruptly stopped delivering the HT since last week of March saying that the company has stopped delivering paper to him. We fail to understand as to why consumers are not being issued the coupons where as other papers like DNA and Times of India issue the coupons for 12 months directly to the customers for 1 year subscription. I regret to note that an esteemed news paper like HT which has a large following can stoop so low there by causing substantial embarassement to me and my family who were under the impression that we will not be ditched. I would like to add that HT officials can come to know as to which scheme I had subscribed from their records after ascertaining the facts and also the date on which the money/cheque has been deducted from my account.
